Kiran is the EU Competition Law Leader at EY Law and the EU Regulatory lawyer on EY’s Brexit committee. He has over 25 years’ experience advising on EU regulatory and competition laws, including acting for a Swiss company in relation to cigarette track-and-trace EU legislation and WHO Treaties; a major US credit rating agency in relation to the proposed and then adopted regulations covering that sector; the collation and comprehensive review for a major tech company of the EU and Member State rules applicable to autonomous vehicles; and advice to an NGO on UN policies, laws and procedures in relation to the promotion of and then adoption of the UN Arms Trade Treaty. Based in Brussels, Kiran has in-depth legal analytical experience of international Treaties and legislation, legislative and policy drafting skills and significant experience of procedural issues. He has litigated before the European Court of Justice. Sector areas of experience include automotive, media and sport, life sciences, logistics and technology. He lectures; most recently on competition law aspects of blockchain at the 27th Advanced EU Comp Law conference, November 2018, organised by KNect 365 Law.
