Alexander Lücke

Head of State Aid Unit, Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, Berlin

Since 2018 Alexander Lücke is head of the State Aid Unit in the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. He is the central interlocutor for all German state aid cases and responsible for state aid policy. Before heading the State Aid Unit, he worked in different departments of the Ministry dealing i.a. with competition law, trade law, labor market policy and in the ministers´and state secretarys´office. Prior to joining the Ministry in 2004 he worked for several years as a competition lawyer in an international law firm.
