Today, in the age of Cloud Services and Big Data, the storage of and access to personal data (in short: data privacy) has become of pivotal importance, not only for consumers but also for governments. This conference will raise some of the most pressing questions around the EU data transfer requirements and public contracting. The conference will address EU and U.S. progress on cybersecurity and digitalisation of public procurement, and how those developments affect contractors in the transatlantic public procurement markets. Our panelists will also discuss fundamental differences in the EU and U.S. approaches to privacy and cybersecurity, to map out a unified approach to new threats to information technology and infrastructure in both the United States and Europe.
