Dace Berkolde

Director of State Aid Control Department, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Latvia

Dace Berkolde is Director of the State Aid Control Department of the Ministry of Finance in Latvia and has more than 20 year experience in the field of State aid. She is responsible for the development and operation of the Latvian state aid control system.

In the pre-accession period of Latvia she was responsible for the setting-up the national state aid monitoring and control system.

Her international experience includes provision of technical assistance to candidate countries and potential candidates, for example, for strengthening capacities of State aid control institutions in Montenegro, Northern part of Cyprus,  Ukraine,  Turkey, Bulgaria and others.
